Everest Receives Grant Award for Innovation
Everest is a proud recipient of $100,000 from the Government of Canada's Women's Entrepreneurial Fund (WEF), a part of their overall Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES) to boost the number of women-owned businesses in Canada.
99% of businesses in Canada are small-medium enterprises, and only 16% of these businesses are women-owned. Everest is proud to be a woman-owned enterprise, employing over 60% women, with 60% women in leadership positions (manager levels and above).
The grant award will be funding our ongoing innovation in developing our clinical trial data analytics platform, which builds upon Everest's foundation and expertise of being the data collection and analysis core of clinical trials. Leveraging our biostatistical, clinical data management, clinical operations and software engineering skillsets, the clinical trial data analytics platform will aggregate and analyze data from various data collection systems to help identify risks and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of clinical trials execution using proprietary algorithms designed in-house.
The development of this asset will differentiate Everest in the marketplace and will enable growth of new revenue streams and clients, thus creating additional high-value STEM jobs and economic activity in Canada.
Everest was visited by The Honourable Minister Mary Ng on August 15, 2019. Minister Ng is a Federal Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion and spoke passionately and intelligently about the importance of supporting the growth of women-owned enterprises in Canada and how these investments will positively impact our GDP.
Thank you for your visit Minister Ng!
