Maria has over 18 years of experience in the CRO industry. She was the Operations Director at August Research for 10 years prior to its acquisition by Everest. Maria’s previous experience includes positions of Clinical Project Manager at Covance; Clinical Project Manager and insource Global Study Manager for Pfizer; and Clinical Research Associate and Clinical Operations Manager at AbCRO - acquired in 2009 by PPD.

Prior to her other positions, Maria spent five years as a Post-Doctoral Associate at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she worked on translational research/antibody engineering.

Maria has an M.Sc. degree in Biology from Sofia University and a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology from the Medical University of Sofia.
