Everest Clinical Research Services Inc. ("Everest") provides statistical, data management, clinical trial monitoring and medical writing services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. We serve some of the best-known companies worldwide, and work with many of the most advanced drugs in development today. Our Corporate Headquarters is located in the Greater Toronto Area (Markham), Ontario, Canada with U.S. operations located in the Greater New York City Area (Little Falls, New Jersey), USA. As we continue to expand our business, we are currently seeking a motivated individual to work at our Toronto headquarters as an Office and Research Assistant .

In this fast paced and dynamic organization, your position will initially provide Reception/Office and Research Assistant support. This is a role which is integral to our business and research activities. Once familiar and successful with those job responsibilities, you will be trained on performing duties of Office Management, Clinical Research and Data Management. We are recruiting this position with the view that the successful applicant will eventually take on responsibilities of an Administrative Assistant to the executives of the organization.

We are seeking a professional, highly motivated and committed individual with exceptional communication skills who is looking to start their career in a professional office environment. No previous relevant experience is necessary but the successful applicant will have a strong focus on customer service, high attention to detail with a desire to advance their career.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing all incoming calls to the company general phone line including screening and directing calls, taking messages while ensuring knowledge of staff movements in and out of the office.
2. Greeting and directing of visitors.
3. Managing office supplies and orders, including stationery and beverages.
4. Preparing and distributing correspondence. Receiving and sorting mail and deliveries.
5. Ad hoc administrative support to executives.
6. Coordinate logistics for client visits, conferences, employee workshops and activities, including travel arrangements as required.
7. Ad hoc research assistant support to the clinical trial project teams which may include such activities as performing data entry and processing activities for assigned projects, performing data quality control procedures during the trial and additional database closure checks at the end of the study etc.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. A university graduate with a Bachelorís degree.
2. Highly professional, motivated and committed individual with excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
3. A positive, can-do attitude and customer-focused approach.
4. A professional appearance, with ability to deal effectively and courteously with all staff, customers and general public.
5. Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
6. Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
7. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
8. Fluent in oral and written French is an asset.
9. Knowledge of clinical trials and phases of drug development is an asset.
