Everest Clinical Research Services Inc. ("Everest") is a contract research organization providing statistical, data management, clinical trial monitoring and medical writing services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. We serve some of the best-known companies worldwide, and work with many of the most advanced drugs in development today. As we continue to expand our business, we are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated DIRECTOR, STATISTICAL OPERATIONS.

We are looking for an individual to work in our Little Falls, New Jersey (Greater New York City Area) or in our Markham (Toronto), Ontario office. The incumbent will report to the President with the responsibility of overseeing a Statistical team in both our Toronto and New Jersey offices.


DIRECTOR, STATISTICAL OPERATIONS


Key Responsibilities:

This position will support the Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs in providing Human Resource services to the Markham, Ontario and Little Falls, New Jersey offices. The incumbent will: Reviews the protocol and associated reference material and develops the database design project timeline. Maintains database design timelines. Promotes good project management practices. Consults with the Manager and Director and plans resource allocation and assigns employees to projects/tasks.

This position is accountable for smooth statistical operations of Everest Clinical Research Services Inc. and will be in charge of leading the staff biostatisticians to strive for becoming a well known center of excellence for statistical services in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The incumbent will manage the Statistical Sciences Unit responsible for the statistical support of clinical trials contracted to the company. This support is provided in a timely manner with high quality standards in all stages of the clinical trials - from the trial design, protocol development, statistical analysis planning and execution, to the writing of statistical sections of the Clinical Study Reports or the generation of publications of trial results.

Under minimal supervision the incumbent is expected to be an operational as well as a technical leader, leading the efforts in developing, applying and providing expertise in statistical and programming methods and techniques to effectively enable decision making in support of the company's mission, strategies, customers, and priorities. This incumbent will serve as a lead biostatistician for clinical studies and projects and also participate in business development/customer relationship management activities, and provide leadership in executing divisional and corporate plans.

Qualifications and Experience:

A Ph.D. degree in statistical sciences or related fields plus at least 10 years experience in pharmaceutical clinical research (oncology experience would be an asset) with demonstrated ability and sustained performance at a supervisory level is required for this position. Strong SAP, CSR, SAS skills are required along with excellent interpersonal and communication ability.
