Everest Clinical Research Services Inc. ("Everest") is a contract research organization providing statistical, data management, clinical trial monitoring and medical writing services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. We serve some of the best-known companies worldwide, and work with many of the most advanced drugs in development today. Our Corporate Headquarters is located in the Greater Toronto Area (Markham), Ontario, Canada with U.S. operations located in the Greater New York City Area (Little Falls, New Jersey), USA. As we continue to expand our business, we are currently seeking motivated individuals to work at our Toronto headquarters as a Clinical Data Management Specialist (evening and overnight).

We require a professional, highly motivated and committed individual with exceptional communication skills who is looking to start their career in a research environment. We are recruiting this position with the view that the successful applicant will have a strong focus on career progression and have a career as a Clinical Data Manager.


Clinical Data Management Specialist (evening and overnight)


Role and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for executing data capture and data management tasks, and the reporting of the progress status of the assigned tasks to the study Clinical Data Manager and/or the Study Management Team. In addition they will perform Interactive Web Response (IWRS) System technical support. The IWRS applications are used to distribute information regarding clinical trial subject randomization and trial medication supplies according to pre-specified user requirements.

The primary activities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Hours of Position:

The incumbent in this position will work an alternating afternoon and overnight shift. The rotation of such a shift will be on a monthly basis. One shift will be scheduled from 3:30 pm to 11:45 pm on regular weekdays alternating on the following month to the hours of 11:30 pm to 7:45 am, with a Sunday to Thursday work week. It is expected for the incumbent to maintain this position and alternating shift for a 2 year period.

This requirement is due to the need for the incumbent to provide technical support to our international clinical trial users in Europe and Asia of our Interactive Web-based Response System (IWRS). During the work shift, approximately 20% of the time will be spent on IWRS monitoring and user support while 80% of the time should be spent on typical data management activities.

Qualifications:

The incumbent must have a University degree in health science, physical or biological fields. Experience in clinical trial data processing and management is definitely an asset.

Education and experience must demonstrate the ability to effectively work independently. In addition, the incumbent must have excellent oral and written English communication skills and be able to apply such skills in logical and algebraic operations. Bi-Lingual in French is an asset.
